Man pleads guilty to negligent driving after snorting substance off phone
A Sydney man has pleaded guilty to negligent driving after he was charged for allegedly snorting a substance off his phone while behind the wheel.
Austin Ferro submitted his plea in Blacktown Local Court this morning, wearing a a suit, sunglasses and a face mask.
The 21-year-old was charged after a mobile detection camera caught his passenger holding the steering wheel as he appeared to snort a substance while he was driving on the M4 at Prospect just before midnight on August 14.

He was issued a court attendance notice last month for driving without proper control of vehicle, negligent driving, and driver using a mobile phone when not permitted.
Mr Ferro admitted to driving with both hands off the steering wheel, but the identification of the substance is still being disputed.
Mr Ferro is due to be sentenced next week.
