He entered the water with a 28-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy when he began to struggle.

The 28-year-old man turned back to help but lost sight of him, police say.

He searched the water before returning to the embankment to contact police.

A search involving police, divers, State Emergency Service volunteers and ambulance rescue is underway.
