Man killed in 3-vehicle crash at Tamworth

A man has been killed and a number of people injured after a car towing a trailer collided with another vehicle in Tamworth.

Emergency services were called to Manilla Road at Tamworth about 5.30pm on Tuesday following reports a northbound Ford Falcon towing a trailer had collided with a northbound Mazda utility.

The driver of the Ford, a 34-year-old man, died at the scene.

As a result of the initial collision, the Mazda utility collided with a southbound Subaru SUV.

The male driver of the Mazda and female driver of the Subaru were taken to Tamworth Base Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and mandatory testing.

Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
