Man injured as heavy equipment falls on him at western Sydney quarry

A man has been injured at an industrial site in western Sydney after heavy equipment crushed one of his legs.
The worker, aged in his 40s, was on site at the Boral Quarries in Emu Plains when the accident happened just before 1pm today.
NSW Ambulance, NSW Fire and Rescue and NSW Police helped winch the man from machinery and onto a stretcher.

He was then taken by ambulance to Nepean Hospital hospital.
He has a serious ankle injury but is in a stable condition.
