Man dies after dump truck tips over in Melbourne’s north-west

A 61-year-old Burnside man has died after a dump truck overturned at a quarry in Melbourne’s north-west earlier today.

Emergency crews attended the scene at the intersection of Leakes Road and Melton Highway in Plumpton after the dump truck rolled over at about 10.45am.

The man was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.

Police are investigating the circumstances and will prepare a report for the coroner.
