A man in a wheelchair has joined rock band Coldplay on stage at their Dublin concert, after crowdsurfing through the mosh pit.

The British band shared footage of personal trainer "Rob" and his chair being lifted through the crowd and onto the stage, where frontman Chris Martin welcomed him.

"Rob we're going to write a new song together OK," Martin said.

Rob then produced a harmonica and played along, as Martin sang an impromptu tune.

The pair embraced as the audience cheered.

"Surprise audience guest on the C-Stage in Dublin!," Coldplay captioned their Youtube video, which has been viewed more than 200,000 times since it was posted yesterday.
