Man hit by street sweeper in Melbourne

A man is dead after he was hit by a street sweeper in Melbourne.
He was struck by the machine on Ballarat Rd in Deer Park just before 5am on Tuesday.
Paramedics tried to save him but he died at the scene.

Police are yet to identify the man.
