Man found wandering Adelaide's northern suburbs with critical injuries

Mystery surrounds the discovery of a city IT worker found barely alive with serious head injuries at Davoren Park, north of Adelaide.

The 39-year-old man was disorientated and bleeding from the head when he arrived at a Studley Street home on Tuesday night.

An ambulance was called and he was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital with a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.

He was then transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is intensive care in an induced coma.

"Police are seeking assistance from anyone who may have seen this man, who is of Asian appearance, prior to his arrival at the address," Detective Inspector Peter Dunstone said.

"He may have travelled from his workplace in Adelaide to his home suburb via train, possibly boarding the train about 8.50pm, and possibly getting off at the Broadmeadows railway station about 9.30pm."

Police are investigating if the man had been bashed and robbed and has appealed for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
