Man, 73, found safe after going missing during bushwalk in Guys Forest on Sunday

A 73-year-old man who has been missing since going for a bushwalk on Sunday morning in Victoria's northeast has been found by police.

Police have located a missing 73-year-old man who failed to return from a bushwalk in Guys Forest over the weekend.

An eagle-eyed Airwing pilot spotted the man sitting on a rock shortly before 9am.

He has been winched to safety and taken to Corryong Hospital for a check-up.

The Bullioh man set off for a walk in the Burrowa-Pine Mountain National Park about 7.30am on Sunday.

Neighbours reported the man missing about 9am yesterday when he failed to return and a search was commenced.

More than 100 people were part of the search this morning, including local police, Search and Rescue, Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Parks Victoria, SES and volunteer bushwalkers.
