A man has died after what police believe was an altercation with another man in a Melbourne apartment.
Homicide squad detectives are investigating the death of the man on Elliott St in Ashwood last night.

Police were called to an apartment at about 6:30pm after reports of an altercation between two men.
A man has been arrested and is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.
