Man flips from bridge into Yarra River in Melbourne's CBD

A man has been filmed dangerously performing a front flip from the Princes Bridge into the Yarra River in Melbourne's CBD.

Video shows the man climbing on the balustrade of the bridge last night, before lunging forward into a somersault.

He then rolls out of the jump into a dive, hitting the murky waters of the Yarra River with a large splash.

Local man Chris Nicol told 3AW it is the second time the man had performed the risky jump.

Police spoke with the 37-year-old man after he came out of the river but no charges have yet been laid.
