Man ‘films colleagues inside Sydney toilet’

A Sydney man has been arrested after allegedly filming his female colleagues inside an inner city Sydney toilet facility.

An 18-year-old woman noticed a phone inside the toilet area at a business on Elizabeth Street in Surry Hills about 10pm yesterday.

She contacted police, who seized and examined the phone.

Investigators allege that several staff members had been recorded without their knowledge or consent.

It is also alleged the phone was used to film “up-skirting” vision of female customers.

Police arrested the 23-year-old Hurstville man at the business and  have charged him with three counts of filming a person in a private act without consent and two counts of filming a person’s private parts without consent.

He was refused bail and will appear in court later today.
