A man is in a critical condition after falling down a rock face near the Sydney Harbour Bridge. (9NEWS) 

A man is fighting for his life after falling down a rock face on Sydney’s North Shore overnight.

It’s understood the 34-year-old man fell between the rock face and a walking track while walking through the Mary Booth Reserve at Kirribilli around 1.30am.

Emergency services were called to the scene and helped to pull the man to safety.

He was treated by paramedics before being taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital where he is in a critical condition.

He is suffering from suspected internal injuries and also sustained a head injury during the fall.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
