Man on the run after visitor to home fatally stabbed in Newcastle

A man has been stabbed to death in a Newcastle home after an alleged fight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Michael Street, Jesmond, at about 3.45pm yesterday.
They found a 34-year-old man who had suffered a stab wound to the chest.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition, where he died.
Police were told the man visited the home and got into a fight with another man, who then fled.
A search for the man is currently underway.
