Man dragged across stadium seats in violent State of Origin brawl
Celebrations turned ugly between a group of Queensland supporters and Blues fans, with one man violently dragged across seats at State of Origin Game One.
The brawl at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, which was filmed by a fellow spectator, shows a group of Maroons supporters seemingly arguing with two men in May.
The situation escalated when a man dressed in blue flicked the cap off one of the men’s heads, before he was pulled across the seats and crashed to the floor.
A screaming woman became involved in the scuffle in an attempt to quell it, before several other men joined in.
At one point, the Maroons supporter can be seen holding the Blues fan by the neck as other men try to pry them apart.
Suncorp Stadium management told 9news.com.au it dealt with the incident at the time and the matter was passed on to police.
