Man dragged 200m by car in Perth CBD
A 20-year-old man was seriously hurt in Perth's city centre when a driver allegedly dragged him alongside a car for about 200 metres.
The incident happened on Monday at 4am (WST) on William Street after two groups had an altercation outside a fast-food outlet.
Shortly after the groups separated, two people from one of the groups returned in a car, yelling abuse and throwing bottles at the victim and his friends, police said.
The man ran up to the car and grabbed the driver's door, but the car allegedly sped off, dragging him about 200 metres.
The victim told police the driver punched him as he was being dragged.
He let go of the car on St Georges Terrace, police said, and was taken to hospital with road burns and lacerations to his head, mouth and feet.
Police are seeking information from witnesses.
