Man dies at Rye Pier off Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula
A man has died after being pulled from the water near Rye Pier on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula this afternoon.
Police believe the man entered the water at about 2.45pm.
He was not seen for about 30 minutes and the police air wing was called to help find him.

When he was located in the water at about 3.15pm, he was brought back to the shore by divers.

He is yet to be formally identified.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
