Man dies in bungalow fire in central Victoria

A man has died after a fire destroyed a bungalow in Redesdale, near Bendigo overnight.

Police believe the man lived at the property, but he has not been formally identified.

Fire crews were called to the property on North Redesdale Road at about 4am.

They managed to extinguish the blaze and after inspecting the home, found the deceased man inside.

The blaze is not being treated as suspicious.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
