Man dies in collision with semi-trailer in central Victoria

A man has died after the ute he was driving collided head on with a semi-trailer at Goldsborough in Victoria's Central Goldfields region.

Police say the crash happened on the Dunolly - Moliagul Road at about 8.30pm on Friday and the man died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 56-year-old man, was not injured and has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police say the exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined.
