Man dies in Marungi house fire

A man has died in a house fire just outside of Shepparton, north of Melbourne this morning.

Emergency services responded to calls to a house on Katamatite-Shepparton Road at about 6am.

One man, yet to formally identified, has died at the scene, while another man in his 60s has escaped with minor injuries.

Police are investigating and arson and explosive detectives have been called to the scene.
