Man dies after truck explosion in NSW

A man has died after he was badly burned in a truck explosion near Goulburn in southern NSW.

Emergency services were called to Marulan on Monday afternoon where a truck and surrounding grassland were on fire.

Police say a 38-year-old man was unloading the truck when it exploded.

He suffered serious burns and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he died on Tuesday.

Police and Workcover are investigating what caused the explosion.
