Man dies after struck by car in Sydney suburb of Padstow
A man has died after being hit by a car in the south-western Sydney suburb of Padstow.
About 6.10pm on Friday emergency services were called to Gibson Avenue following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
The 71-year-old was delivering food for local restaurant Mamma Della Pizza when he was struck by a Hyundai hatchback.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being taken in a critical condition to Liverpool Hospital, where he died.
Residents have been left shaken after witnessing the collision.
"It hits hard, especially knowing he is a local member of the community," witness Ali Zoghbi said.
"He [was] just doing his job, sadly he is not going home to his family tonight."

The driver, a 32-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police established a crime scene, and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
No charges have been laid.
