Man dies after rear-ending stopped truck near Gold Coast

A Queensland man has died after his van crashed into the back of a truck pulled over on the Pacific Highway, south of Brisbane.
The driver of the truck stopped behind a broken-down car on the M1 near Yatala around 9pm and put on the truck’s hazard lights.

Shortly after, a van driving in the same direction rear-ended the truck.
The sole occupant of the van, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
