Man dies after getting caught in a rip at Coffs Harbour

A man in his 40s has died after getting caught in a rip at Coffs Harbour.
He was swimming in the water with another person about 300m away from the red and yellow flags at Park Beach.
He was brought to shore but could not be revived.

The Coffs-Clarence police district have launched an investigation into the death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
