Man charged with murder following Sydney stabbing

A man has been charged with murder after a man was fatally stabbed in Sydney's east.

Emergency services were called to Talbot Street, Woolloomooloo, just after 9am on Monday to find a 38-year-old man with a stab wound.

Paramedics treated the man and took him to St Vincent's Hospital, where he later died.

Police arrested a 40-year-old man at a mall in Potts Point about 11.30am and charged him with murder.

He was refused bail to face the Downing Centre Local Court on tomorrow.
