Teen hit by car and killed while changing a tyre on Sydney road
Police have confirmed the pedestrian hit and killed by a car this morning as he changed his car’s tyre on a Sydney road was aged 19.
Emergency services were called to the scene on James Ruse Drive in North Parramatta just before 11am after reports a man had been hit by a car.
Initially, police believed the victim was aged in his 30s, but later confirmed he was a teenager.
Paramedics worked on the teen however he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lengthy traffic delays ensued as emergency services worked to clear the area.
No one else was injured.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner as Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit officers investigate the circumstances.
