Alleged killer on the run in Sydney after man stabbed to death day before 25th birthday

An alleged killer remains on the run after a fatal stabbing in Sydney's west on Friday afternoon.

Police rushed to the home in St Clair at 4.30pm and conducted CPR on the man who was unconscious with serious injuries.

Paramedics arrived shortly after. Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene.

He has been identified as Youhanna Angok, who would have turned 25 today.

Police said initial inquiries suggested another man came to the property and became involved in an altercation, allegedly stabbing the victim before fleeing the scene.

It's alleged Angok was spending time with a female friend before her ex-partner, Prince Fanhbulleh, arrived.

"I did hear a lot of fighting with someone calling him a traitor, like a dog or something," one neighbour said.

Two women who were at the home at the time were not physically injured but were assessed by paramedics.

Police are still searching for the other man, who they believe may be armed, after he reportedly left the scene in a white sedan.

Information from witnesses has also suggested the man may be travelling on a dirt bike, according to police.

The man is described as being aged in his mid-20s, of African appearance, with a solid build and black hair in short dreadlocks.

If sighted, members of the public are urged not to approach the man but to instead call triple-zero immediately.
