Man dies after fatal shooting outside residence in Sydney

A man has died after being shot outside a home in Sydney's south west.

The man, aged in his 30s, was found with gunshot wounds lying outside the residence at Condell Park. Emergency services were called to the scene in Fifth Avenue about 6.10pm on Sunday.

Paramedics treated the man before he was taken to hospital in a critical condition. He later died. Police have been told a car was seen driving from the scene soon after the shooting. An investigation has begun as police canvass neighbouring homes.

A crime scene has been established and the road is closed.
