'Man-child' slammed on social media after stealing baseball from granny

A baseball fan in the United States has been blasted on social media after vision emerged of him pushing aside an elderly woman to claim a foul ball.

The woman was sitting alongside her partner when the prized souvenir rocketed in her direction.

She missed the catch but still seemed destined to lay claim to the ball when she stood and leaned over a guard rail to reach for it.

But another fan, standing a foot taller and arguably weighing twice as much, had other ideas as he charged toward the ball and grabbed it, pushing her out of the way in the process.

The poor woman appeared as dumbfounded by his actions as those who've since witnessed the vision and taken to social media to vent.

Their sentiments have been best summed-up by one user who described the Philadelphia supporter as a 'man-child'.

The vision of the incident was circulating on the same day that another baseball fan - an attractive blonde woman - was labeled 'evil' for attempting to get a ball back from a young boy.

She'd caught the ball when it was thrown toward a young supporter, but seemed acutely aware that it was a bad look so decided to on-pass it to one of the intended recipients.

Minutes later she was caught on camera demanding 'give me my ball back'.
