Man charged with Vic copper theft

A 27-year-old man will appear in court on Friday after being charged with allegedly amassing a huge haul of stolen copper wire in Melbourne.
Police made the discovery after officers on routine patrol found a van carrying allegedly stolen number plates in Seddon, west of Melbourne's CBD, on Thursday.
Police then discovered a substantial amount of allegedly stolen copper wire.

Damian Greganic was arrested and has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods and drug possession.
He appeared in an out-of-sessions hearing and was remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court.
