Man faces court charged with making death threats against Queensland Premier, Chief Health Officer

A man accused of using a carriage service to threaten to kill the Queensland Premier and Chief Health Officer has fronted court this morning.

Aaron David Marriage ran from media following his brief appearance at Southport Magistrates Court.

The 43-year-old accused reporters in the courtroom of breaching the privacy act by "using his name" and attending his address.

Mr Marriage represented himself, asking for an adjournment to seek legal advice and stating he took issue with some aspects of his charge.

"A few things have been changed with what was actually written, Your Honour, the so-called email," he told the court.

"At the end of the day I haven't seen my kid for a year, that's the whole reason why we are here."

Last month it was revealed that Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young was under police protection, following alleged threats made against her life.

Mr Marriage was charged following a police search of a Nerang address on September 16.

Magistrate Kerry Magee adjourned the matter to November 4.
