A man has been charged with the murder of Perth DJ and event promoter Jaime Fernandez.
The body of Mr Fernandez, 41, was found inside his Tuart Hill unit on July 19.
Police said Mr Fernandez had suffered "significant injuries" during an incident inside the the unit.
Western Australia Police today said a 27-year-old Balga man had been charged with Mr Fernandez's murder.
The charged man will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Chilean-born, Mr Fernandez moved to Australia with his parents in 1995.
He lived alone but had a wide social circle of associates that police are trying to speak to, Det Sen Sgt Gorton said.
Neighbours had reported not seeing Fernandez for several days, which led police to his home.
It is believed he was last in contact with friends on the morning of July 16, the same day police will allege he was murdered.
