Man charged with murder in Victoria

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Victoria's far east.
A 48-year-old man died at Lake Tyers on Tuesday.
Homicide Squad detectives say Martin Townsend was charged with one count of murder at an out-of-sessions court hearing at Bairnsdale Police station on Wednesday night.

The 56-year-old was remanded to appear at the Bairnsdale Magistrates Court on Thursday.
