Man charged with murder after body found outside Townsville home

A man has been charged with murder, after a body was found with stab wounds outside a Townsville home on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the home at Ackers Street, Hermit Park, about 6.45pm and found a 37-year-old man collapsed and not breathing.

Paramedics were unable to the revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have since charged a 20-year-old Railway Estate man with murder.

He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.

The deceased man was from Vincent.
