Man charged with attempted murder over Logan shooting

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was shot six times in a hotel car park south of Brisbane.

The 25-year-old victim drove himself to Fitzy's Tavern in Waterford West to seek help for the gunshot wounds on his lower body and stomach in Waterford West, Logan, around 6pm Friday.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition, however was uncooperative when interviewed by police.

On Saturday evening, detectives revealed a 27-year-old local man had been charged with one count each of attempted murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.

He's expected to appear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.
