Man charged over Sydney street robbery

A man has been charged after a teenager was robbed at knifepoint in Sydney's east over the weekend.
The 18-year-old was walking along New Orleans Crescent at Maroubra at 4am on Sunday when he was approached by a man who allegedly threatened him with a knife and robbed him of cash and a mobile phone.
Police later searched a home in New Orleans Crescent where they found a mobile phone and prohibited drugs.

A 28-year-old man will face Parramatta Local Court later on Monday charged with armed robbery and possessing a prohibited drug.
