Man charged over sexual assault of elderly

A man has been charged over the aggravated sexual assault of an elderly woman on the NSW north coast.
The 76-year-old was attacked by a man who forced his way into her Kingscliff unit last week, police say.
She was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital and detectives began investigating.

They arrested a 34-year-old man at a Kingscliff home, where 100 cannabis plants were also seized, on Wednesday.
The alleged attacker has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault.
He's been refused bail and is due before Casino Local Court on Thursday.
