Man charged over Hyde Park sexual assault

A 50-year-old man will appear in Sydney's Central Local Court over the sexual assault of a woman in the city last year.

Police arrested the Surry Hills man on Saturday and have charged him with three counts of sexual assault without consent and two counts of assault with an act of indecency.

Police allege he attacked an 18-year-old woman in Hyde Park on August 30.

The man was refused bail and will appear in court on Monday.
