Man charged over fatal ambulance crash in Queensland
A man has been charged over a crash with an ambulance that killed two people in central Queensland.
The crash took place on October 10, when the ambulance was stationary at a roadwork traffic light on the Capricornia Highway at Stanwell, near Rockhampton.
A truck travelling in the same eastbound lane crashed into the back of ambulance, forcing it off the roadway where it rolled.

Two passengers in the back of the ambulance died at the scene.
The ambulance driver and two other passengers were taken to Rockhampton Hospital, as was the driver of the truck.
Today, police said a 41-year-old man from The Range had been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of motor vehicle causing deaths.
He will face court today.
