A man accused of breaking into a host of schools, shops, clubs and factories in southern NSW has been arrested.

Police said the 33-year-old led officers on a chase shortly after a break-in at Goulburn school, before abandoning his ute and fleeing on foot.

A number of items from the school were found in the vehicle, and follow-up investigations revealed stolen items from a private home and a hotel in Goulburn.
