Man charged after restaurant 'glassing' in Western Sydney

A man has been charged with allegedly glassing the owner of a Lebanese restaurant in a dispute at the eatery.

Police said the 38-year old victim was cut on the head with a glass in the assault at 7.30pm yesterday at the Bankstown restaurant, Jasmin 1.

A 39-year-old man was arrested in Punchbowl and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He was refused bail and was due to appear in Bankstown Local court today.
