A 25-year-old man accused of threatening people with improvised explosive devices has been found hiding under a mattress at a rural property in central western New South Wales.

Police had been hunting the man for two weeks over numerous offences, including assault.

Investigators said he had threatened to harm people with explosive devices during an argument at a Condobolin family function yesterday, but stressed the matter was not terrorism-related.
