Man charged after crash on Harbour Bridge

An unlicensed driver has been charged after he crashed a stolen truck on Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The 43-year-old man hit a concrete divider on the bridge on Wednesday night, fled the vehicle and scrambled over a fence onto the pedestrian walkway.

He was detained by a security guard and arrested by police.

Officers later discovered the truck had been stolen from a business in Annandale, in Sydney's inner west.

The man was charged with six offences including reckless driving.

He's due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on May 15.
