Man charged after alleged attempted robbery with a knife at Gosford bus interchange

A man has been charged after he allegedly attempted to rob another man with a knife while the pair stood at a bus interchange in Gosford, north-east of Sydney.

The 22-year-old man allegedly approached the 18-year-old and attempted to steal his iPod at about 7.20pm yesterday at the bus interchange outside Gosford Railway Station.

Police found the alleged offender nearby and after a short pursuit he was arrested. He allegedly resisted arrest.

He has been charged with attempted robbery, armed with intent, custody of knife in public place and resist police.
