Man charged after allegedly threatening police with knife during Perth siege

A 20-year-old man will appear in court today following an armed siege in Guildford last night.
Police were called to a house on James Street at around 11pm to speak with the man, who allegedly threatened officers with a knife and locked himself inside.
A negotiator and officers from the Tactical Response Group attempted to coax him from his home however he refused.

Officers then stormed the home before he finally surrendered.
No one else was in the house at the time and no injuries have been reported.
The man will face Midland Magistrates Court charged with going armed to cause terror, threats to injure, obstructing police and disorderly behaviour.
