Man 'significantly burnt' in petrol explosion at Chipping Norton workplace

NSW ambulance paramedics are rushing to an industrial site at Chipping Norton in south-west Sydney where a man has been injured in a workplace incident.

A man in his 20s was hurt in an apparent explosion at a workplace on Alfred Street.

According to NSW Ambulance the man has been “significantly burnt” with burns mainly to his face and arms.

Five crews of paramedics were called to the scene, where the man was placed in a stable condition.

He will be taken to Royal North Shore hospital for further treatment.
