Man brazenly kicks train passenger in random attack

Police are searching for a man who violently assaulted a fellow passenger on a Melbourne train.

CCTV shows the offender, dressed in a black Adidas t-shirt, walk through the carriage of the Frankston-bound train about 3pm on July 28.

He can be seen approaching a seated traveller, before appearing to kick him in the head. A flurry of people then rush to the victim’s aid.

The offender disembarked the train at North Williamstown station, police said.

He is described as being Caucasian, aged in his 20s to 30s, and has a closely shaved head.

Investigations are ongoing.
