Man arrested in relation to Underwood shopping centre stabbing
A man has been arrested in relation to the alleged attempted murder of a 25-year-old man at the Underwood Marketplace in Logan on Monday night.
Nabil Casoojee, 25, was found by a member of the public just before 7pm. He had been stabbed in the stomach in the shopping centre’s carpark but managed to stagger up an escalator to get help.
He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
Police say Mr Casoojee had driven a black Mercedes Benz sedan into the Beenleigh Road complex and parked in the downstairs carpark before being attacked.
9NEWS understands a 22-year-old man is in police custody but has not yet been charged.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who attended the shopping centre and may have witnessed the incident or the black sedan to contact police.
