Rugby league coach arrested over alleged drug supply in Sydney hotel
A rugby league coach is facing drug charges after bags of cocaine were allegedly uncovered in his Sydney hotel room.
Police were called to a hotel in Pyrmont about 3.10am today following reports of an alleged drug deal.
Officers spoke to a 35-year-old man, who has been identified as Andy Alashooty, the assistant coach of the North Sydney Bears' NSW Cup squad, before searching his hotel room.

Officers allegedly found 10 bags of cocaine and $3400 in cash.
The drugs have an estimated street value of $3850, police said.
Alashooty was taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with supply of a prohibited drug and dealing with proceeds of crime.
The Bears played against the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup grand final on Sunday, suffering a loss of 28-22.
Alashooty was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on October 30.
