Man armed with blood-filled syringe robs Ballina bank

A man armed with a blood-filled syringe has robbed a bank in the town of Ballina, in the Nothern Rivers region of New South Wales.
Police said the man entered a bank on River Street and demanded money from the teller.
Witnesses reported the offender was wielding a blood-filled syringe.

The teller handed over cash and the man fled the scene. He was last seen on River Street, police said.
No-one was injured in the robbery.
Investigations are ongoing.
